I started my career with the intention of becoming an engineer. However, my first DSLR camera changed my direction in life, making me discover my passion for all things Art.
I shifted gears from Engineering to Computer Graphics, where I followed my love for playing games into actually making games. But it wasn't until an off chance excursion into photography that I discovered my true passion in life - Cinematography.
I learnt and mastered cameras such as RED, Canon DSLRs, Sony A7 series and Panasonic GH series. The projects I have worked on as a cinematographer include films such as Gandhi No Golmaal and Kalakaar, Ad films for Asian Paints and a web series, The Adventures of Abbaas Mastan for 'Arre'.

Throughout my teen years, I was always passionate about games and gaming. So much so, that even after graduating in Management Studies, the undying passion and curiosity for what goes into making games never died. That led me to take up a Diploma in Game Design & Development at FX School. In the process of learning, I realized that making games involves not just learning the technical aspect of it but more importantly, the art of conveying a story through your imagination. Becoming a Unity Certified Developer gave me the confidence to pursue a career fuelled purely by my passion. Currently, I am working on various AR & VR projects and finding ways to market them.
I was always fascinated with the idea of the impossible, things that do not happen in our everyday life - like a man flying in a metal suit or cars transforming into giant bots. I wanted to know how all of this is brought to life.
After graduating with a degree in commerce, I knew pressing calculator buttons was not going to work for me so I joined an animation course. After that I worked at Cinemad, a post-production studio in Kolkata. But I found that I still wanted to learn more. That’s when I found FX School and completed my course in Visual Effects, which was an awesome experience.
Now as a Motion Design instructor at FX School, I combine my Visual Effects and my Design skills and apply it animating static Graphic Design elements in order to tell a more powerful story.
I find that helping others really pushes me to learn more about the things I have always been fascinated with, and gives me a sense of satisfaction.
